Hello, Zephyr readers new + old:  I was going to devote this issue of the Zephyr to a fanciful exploration of the afterlife—hopes, wishes, funny ideas, links to cool artistic renderings (cinematic and otherwise)

but we are meeting actual death over here as my dear great wonderful mother-in-law Larraine is in her final hours after 8 months in the grip of brain cancer. We’re busy saying goodbye and holding her in a cloud of love. So: no Zephyr this week, only this placeholder. Thanks for your patience and I’m glad you’re here.  Love, Tina
