*to Larraine & Eileen in OZ: Happy Autumn/Sorry So Springy

Aw.

(I knew Z. was a good one; that's why I chose him to deliver this bundle each week.)

But listen, I started researching this some more because I wanted to know what these other brothers were about. And these wind explainers out there need to get it together. Some people are trying to say Favonius is the West Wind and not Zephyr (SPECIOUS, OBVS.) and some humbug named Notos is the South Wind, and somebody else is all "No, it's NoTUS" in addition to some other red herrings. So I don't know. I don't know who's blowing out there. Good luck. Look sharp, everybody. Whole lot of misinformation swirling around.

on Ichiro Suzuki

really? you're leading with "when winter never ends" for this spring kickoff edition well it's baseball so c'mon also for some of you it seems to not be (ending) (Sorry So Snowy)

This is insanely good. Funny/harrowing/perfect sentence after perfect sentence.

in case you're not already a bill cunningham fan, here's how to become one:  Bill Cunningham New York

I subscribe to Mystic Medusa's astrology website and let me tell you something. I never won't. When you get a Mega Mystic subscription you also get an email 5x week—the Daily Mystic— (Fri/Sat/Sun are lumped together) and in that email you get to read things like this to start your day:

The Moon in Sagittarius is only going to exaggerate the already big-it-up vibe of Jupiter turning Retro. Appetites are trending UP till the weekend. But it's going to be fantastic for muck-raking and sleaze exposure over the next week. Keep a close grip on any of your own hush-hush material and watch as the sordid exposés get cracking.   And as it is still Solar Pisces and Mars is coming up to square Doctor Chiron, there's still the surreal and psycho-therapeutic vibe happening, albeit with more balancing Yang now. It's still magical realism but with a speedier momentum and zero tolerance for vampire-zombie energy.

Somebody advising me first thing in the morning "It's still magical realism" is MY FAVORITE.

All us bleary-eyed Medusa readers frowning and stretching in our beds, asking "is it still magical realism?" so groggy, not knowing YES the word is YES now GET UP
I once listened to a podcast she did and her voice made me fall in love with her even more. I don't know what I was expecting but it was not a mush-mouthed, speed-talkin' Australian with the dishiest, most sing-song delivery humanly possible. Like she's forever drunk/in a huge hurry/knocking all the lamps over on the way out the door BUT STILL 100% COMMITTED TO TELLING US THE WHOLE ASTRO-DEAL BEFORE SHE'S GONE
