Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
is the fastest way to sum up what's bouncing around in my consciousness this week The pull of the collective keeps GOD DANG THE VERB "TRUMPING" is RUINED trumping superseding doing battle with counterbalancing calling PULLING, OKAY, THE PULL (of the collective) KEEPS PULLING ME OUT OF MY SELF-ABSORBED REVERIES AND ALSO AWAY FROM MY AMBITIONS AND TOWARDS THE PEOPLE. We recognize the need for each other so acutely these days, but our individuality is still a fact, and the fact that most of us are only ever seeing out of one set of eyes is still a fact, and we grapple with existence pretty much alone even though we gather ideas from each other about it and hug a lot And so what I'm feeling is the urge to move up Maslow's pyramid like a fuckin' salmon, instinctive, GET ME UP THERE, but also the pull of the collective, down, WE'RE NOT OKAY, and my heart flies to where the people are, beloved and hurting, but that craving for transcendence kicks in, GOD, LET ME GO UP and so that's all going on. Possibly for you, too. Probably. I mean. That seems likely.

Self-actualization is just something I want to tell you, an exciting thing that happened for me where I've begun a writing project that's not like anything I've ever tried before, on a scale I haven't attempted, and it is everything I ever wanted to work on.
