Weekly Zephyr #26: Thxgiving!

Weekly Zephyr #26: November 23rd, 2017

A CITYSCAPE by Jeremy Mann, but I can't find which one it is to tell you the title Nevertheless this is the Thankgivingest one, I think, in its way a bustling way of getting from place to place | on your way to T-giving dinner | city sidewalks busy sidewalks, etc. but without the sidewalks THERE CAN'T ALWAYS BE SIDEWALKS

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, DEAR ZEPHYRS

This is more like a little postcard because of holiday prep and such. This is also six months officially of a weekly Zephyr.

I AM THANKFUL THAT YOU ARE WITH ME HERE IN THIS NEWSLETTER "WISH YOU WERE HERE" OH YAY YOU ARE

Four Delights of Various Sizes

1. What Do We Do with the Art of Monstrous Men, in other words THE TURKEY

Claire Dederer's piece in The Paris Review is blowing minds in every direction. IT'S ONLY A TURKEY BECAUSE IT'S SUBSTANTIAL and also monstrous men are turkeys (and we are all secret potential turkeys, possibly, or not-so-secret) but CLAIRE DID NOT WRITE A TURKEY.   I can't tell you how much I was affected by this piece. It has caused a reckoning in me. If by some miracle you haven't read it already, I think it will cause the same in you. And goddamn/god bless, it's also funny. Dark, dense, so profoundly thoughtful, and f u n n y   Also, let's be clear: REQUIRED

2. Reggie Watts, Spatial, upon Netflix THIS IS THE POTATOES AND THE YAMS

Reggie Watts is an uncategorizable miracle person, but the categories include musician, comedian and overall Mahatma.

3. Elaborately excellent theater sets of yore This is rolls or the side vegetable (not a potato) of your choice

4. Weird foxes, rated aka Cranberry Sauce

YOU ARE THE PIE WHAT ELSE COULD POSSIBLY BE THE PIE IF NOT YOU
